Become a technology maverick in cloud computing and bridge the gap between operations and development with your passion for systems automation. We need a creative problem-solver who is unafraid to jump in and learn on the job.
WHAT WILL YOUR JOB BE LIKE FROM DAY TO DAY?
With a vision for intelligent and self-aware cloud-based systems, you will strive to make our connected vehicle platform automated, self-scaling, and self-healing. Using the most advanced tools you can find or create yourself, you will architect and implement solutions to abstract away the tedium of complex systems. Developer requirements and a wealth of best-practice and design patterns will be your jumping off point. The thrills and challenges of working with complex cloud systems will take the form of scripting tools, debugging complex issues, and researching and generating new architectures and solutions. You’ll also contribute to development meetings to help guide the direction of the product, and work closely with the operations team to help them achieve 100% uptime of all services. When called upon, you may also save the day in critical situations.
WHAT WILL SUCCESS LOOK LIKE FOR THIS ROLE?
Success for a DevOps engineer can be measured in happiness: happy developers who are blown away by how quickly you deploy new components, happy customers who don’t experience downtime, and happy operations colleagues who don’t suffer from false monitoring alerts and bad logging.
